🛡️ IRL Events & Community Sports

Participation in IRL events may require users to be 16 or older, or have written consent from a parent or guardian. Certain competitions or activations may be restricted to users 18 and older.

⚠️ Live Events Disclaimer & Liability Waiver

By participating in any in-person events, tournaments, meetups, or physical activities hosted by thetverse.com, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved—including but not limited to injury, illness, or property damage. You agree that participation is voluntary and at your own discretion.

  • You release thetverse.com, its affiliates, partners, and event organizers from any liability for personal injury, loss, or damages incurred during or as a result of your participation.

  • You agree to follow all posted safety guidelines, venue rules, and instructions from event staff.

  • If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must consent to your participation.

  • We reserve the right to deny entry or remove participants who violate event rules or pose a safety risk.

By attending, you also consent to the use of your image, voice, or likeness in event media unless you opt out in writing prior to the event.

🛡️ Youth Protection & Parental Consent

We believe young legends deserve a safe, inspiring space to grow. That’s why we’ve built protections into every layer of our Universe.

Youth Protection:

  • Users under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to create an account, participate in IRL events, or submit content.

  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13. If we discover such data has been submitted, we will delete it promptly.

  • All youth-facing content, challenges, and activations are designed to be age-appropriate, inclusive, and free from harmful or exploitative material.

  • We encourage parents and guardians to engage with their child’s experience on thetverse.com—from squad formation to gameplay progression.

Parental Consent:

  • Parents or guardians may request access to their child’s data, modify permissions, or delete the account by contacting info@thetverse.com

  • For users under 18, parental consent is required for:

    • Account creation and profile setup

    • Participation in campus activations or IRL competitions

    • Submission of media content (e.g. gameplay clips, livestreams)

    • Appearance in promotional materials or event footage

  • Consent may be collected via digital signature, email confirmation, or event registration forms.

🛡️ Digital Gameplay & Media Creation

Minimum Age: 13

  • This aligns with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) in the U.S., which restricts data collection from users under 13.

  • Most social platforms and game services use 13 as the baseline for account creation.

  • You can allow younger users with verified parental consent, but that adds complexity to data handling and moderation.

🛡️ IRL Events & Campus Activations

Minimum Age: 16–18, depending on the activity

  • For physical competitions, travel, or campus-based activations, 16+ is often the safest threshold.

  • If events involve liability, physical exertion, or public exposure (e.g. livestreams, press), 18+ with signed waivers is the cleanest legal route.

  • You can allow younger participants with guardian-signed consent forms, especially for local or school-affiliated events.

🛡️ Cinematic/Creative Roles (Lore, Squad Design, Content Creation)

Minimum Age: 13, with mentorship options

  • “Junior Creator” tier with limited publishing rights and adult oversight.

  • Younger users can contribute creatively with guidance, especially in squad-building or lore development.

🛡️ Campus Activations & Team-based Competitions

By participating in any campus-based events, squad competitions, or physical challenges organized by thetverse.com, you acknowledge and accept the following:

  • Liability Waiver
You release thetverse.com, its affiliates, campus partners, and event staff from any liability for injuries, losses, or damages incurred during or as a result of your participation.

  • Voluntary Participation & Risk Assumption
You understand that these activities may involve physical exertion, competitive gameplay, and public interaction. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including injury, illness, or property damage.

  • Squad Conduct & Safety Protocols
You agree to uphold the spirit of fair play, teamwork, and mutual respect. All participants must follow posted rules, safety guidelines, and instructions from event coordinators. Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the event or disqualification.

  • Campus Partner Collaboration
Some activations may be co-hosted with universities, student organizations, or local venues. You agree to comply with any additional rules or codes of conduct set by these partners.

  • Media Release & Representation
By attending, you grant thetverse.com permission to capture and use your image, voice, or likeness in promotional materials, livestreams, and recap content. If you prefer not to be featured, notify us in writing before the event.

  • Eligibility & Team Registration
Certain competitions may require pre-registration, age verification, or squad affiliation. You are responsible for ensuring your team meets all eligibility criteria and deadlines.

💥 Code of Conduct Enforcement

To protect the integrity of our platform, events and community, thetverse.com enforces a clear Code of Conduct across all digital and physical spaces. By participating, you agree to the following enforcement terms:

  • Platform Rights
Thetverse.com reserves the right to modify enforcement procedures as needed to maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for all users.

  • Zero Tolerance for Harmful Behavior
Harassment, discrimination, cheating, sabotage, or any form of abusive conduct will result in immediate review and potential suspension or permanent removal from the platform and/or events.

  • Squad Accountability
Squad leaders and members are expected to uphold community standards. Repeated violations by a squad may result in team-wide penalties, disqualification from competitions, or removal from campus activations.

  • Reporting & Investigation
Users may report violations through our designated channels. All reports are reviewed confidentially and fairly. We reserve the right to take action based on internal findings, including issuing warnings, suspensions, or bans.

  • Appeals & Resolution
Participants may appeal enforcement decisions by submitting a written request within 7 days of notification. Appeals will be reviewed by our community integrity team, and decisions are final.

  • Event Staff Authority
During IRL events, designated staff and moderators have full authority to enforce conduct rules, including removal from venues or competitions if behavior threatens safety or disrupts the experience.
